How should I tell him...

I’ve been talking to this guy for a year on and off (mostly OFF) and every time it gets close to being serious I ignore him or somehow we stop talking. We haven’t been talking in a while and he messaged me out of no where asking if I can call him and he wanted to talk. I just want to get it out to him and tell him I have hsv.. I really like him and we have a strong connection but I get so scared. I keep telling myself that I wanna tell him but I never get it out. So before we start talking again I just wanna get it out. Any stories or advice anyone can give me. I never told ANYONE that I have it and I’m almost 2 years in & still can’t believe it.
