Is your formula fed baby on a feeding schedule?

Switched my baby from breastfed to formula fed. Day 3. He is 20 days today. What im wondering is, should i get baby on a schedule or feed on demand like when breastfed?  Please let me know your point of view, how old,  and how much your baby is eating

I have never created a schedule. My 17 month old eats when she's hungry. Sometimes that means she eats a lot. Sometimes that means she barely eats. It's entirely up to her.
I'll do the same with my 3 month old. She eats what she wants when she wants (currently has to have a 2 hr break in between because of her reflux).

I formula feed my 7 week old on demand. I just make him go at least 2 hours between feeds, otherwise he will projectile spit up 🤮

I would say we never feed on schedule when he was smaller, now that he is 3.5 months I know his cues more. If he's hungry I would feed him, but he usually takes his bottle every 3-4 hours and he is drinking 5.5 oz.. I was so scared to overfeed when he could be crying for other reasons. Eventually you'll know which cry is for what and when he is hungry. 😊

I feel like yours is too young for a schedule anyway. We feed on demand, but there's general times she eats at night. She eats during the day anywhere from 2-3.5 hours during the day and at night every 3.5-5 hours. We don't wake at night since she met her birth weight less than a week after birth.

We feed on demand. When i delivered in the hospital they said to feed him every two hours but once we got home that wasn’t working for us. He eats when he’s hungry, some cues he does are trying to suck his hands or blanket, opening and closing his mouth, Puckering his lips and crying which is a late sign. I was making him two oz at a time when he was younger, ten weeks now, and then if he was doing those signs I’d make another two oz. on average now he does 4-6 oz every 3-4 hours during the day.
