When did you come out to your family?

I came out as bisexual (the easiest way to not make my mother angry...it’s a long story) at 13. I just wanna know how all my peeps came out (or plan to😏) have a wonderful day/night💕

Well, I did come out to my aunt last night, and she said: “Oh I’ve always known. You are such a gay child.” 
(My aunt is bi. My parents are homophobic and my other aunt is lesbian.)

If I ever come out to my parents, it’ll be when I move out and get my own place. Because I’m pretty sure they’d kick me out or disown me if they knew..

Idk if coming out as bi when your not is necessarily easier. I am bi and when I came out my parents thought I was just confused and if I like both I could just “choose” to be straight. They’ve gotten better since but it took a few years.

I'm 26 and haven't ever really discussed my sexuality with my parents. I'm married to a man and don't really see much point in "coming out" (as asexual)  since it isn't particularly relevant.

I was going to come out on Halloween, but I chickened out. I have no idea how my mom will react. I’m catholic and I go to a private Christian school. I don’t think she’ll kick me out or anything, but I do think she’ll be disappointed. Not my problem. She raised me, if she disappointed bc she thinks something/someone turned me gay that’s my definition of bad parenting.

To each their own, but I feel like coming out as bi because it’s “easier” is really hurtful/damaging to people who really are bi. It perpetuates stereotypes that bisexuality doesn’t exist and that bi people are just “halfway in the closet” or “undecided.” That’s the reaction I’ve gotten numerous times, and it’s really upsetting. Bisexuality exists and I’m 100% bi, not just confused.
