Random swelling of the hands?

I had to take my son to the hospital last night. While we were there, I noticed my fingers were kinda pink and sore and swollen. My boyfriend saw them and said “woah why are your hands so big!?” I’ve never had hand swelling this pregnancy and they were pretty big for almost 2 hours. Is this normal? 35 weeks 4 days.

It could be normal, but it also could be a sign of preeclampsia. I’d call your dr and let them know you noticed a big change rapidly. Also take your blood pressure and see if it’s high. If you don’t have your own machines lots of pharmacies and drug stores have them. Swollen hands and feet, high blood pressure, and protein in urine are all common signs of preeclampsia. Which is dangerous to both you and the baby. Many women are induced for this reason, but like I said it could be just normal part of pregnancy if your not having any other symptoms. Good luck!
