Advise ??

This is how my son has to sleep. If I move he wakes up. I’d love to get him sleeping in his own crib but how? Please help me.

Just keep trying to put him down,if he crys again comfort him then try again. He might just like to be held. With my LO I co slept from the beginning until 4 weeks and I had enough of sharing my bed so I bought a cosydreams insert(UK regs are cool with those sleep positioners) for my next to me crib as it was too hard for him at the start and he liked being held in and cosy. Now hes starting to roll at 12 weeks I've removed it and hes been lying on his mattress for a few days now. If you've a bought a bouncer put him in that for a bit during the day along side maybe a sling to feel your heartbeat. I'm sure other mums will have suggestions too. It's all a guessing game before you get used to each other and know what he wants,hes still young ( and a cutie!) 😍

We have a wrap called “The Nesting Bean” it have a little weighted piece on the chest and one on each side. It’s just a small pouch filled with beans. It’s meant to feel like a mother’s hand on the chest.

Bassinet next to the bed was a great transition for me and my daughter! Even now at 5 months she still naps on my chest 😅

My girl was like that.  I started by putting her down for naps in the rock-n-play and co sleeping at night.  Then gradually moved to rock-n-play for her first long sleep at night and cosleeping after feeding.  Then I started putting her in the crib for naps, then after a while switched to the crib for the first long sleep, too.

How do you lay him in the crib. My lo is the same way and he’s almost 8w. I cosleep but the only way I can lay him down is on his belly. I know its supposed to be a big no no but he refuses to sleep on his back and he has good head control he hasn’t been face down at all and it’s how he’s slept since we’ve been home from hospital. Anytime I put him in his back he wakes up in 30 min tops but he will sleep for hours on his belly.

They are used to being in your belly, its all they know it’s normal and it gets better as they age. Just hold him and let him know you’re there.

I swaddled mine from day one. By the time he went to his crib at six months he was ready to sleep on his own. He would take naps by me like your picture but they weren’t as good as when he slept by himself.
