Help!!

So, my vaginas been burning and itching, and about a week ago it hurt to pee, or even right after I have sex it sometimes hurts to pee. I’m afraid it might be a yeast infection, and my boyfriend does too, but that worries me. How do I get rid of it?? And what does that mean exactly, having a yeast infection?? Sorry, this has never happened before, so I’m super super nervous!!
