Mirena and spotting/period
Does anyone with a Mirena have an extremely irregular cycle? I know there's been a post about attempting to track your cycle before, but I was hoping more people come chime in. I'd love to hear from people that have had it for a year+, just because after that everything is supposed to be "normal."
Background: I've had mine for a little over 1.5 years. Previously I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for a few years. From insertion to one year, it was a dream with no periods or spotting. At one year I had a large ovarian cyst rupture and since then I've had very painful and irregular periods and frequent spotting. My Gyno put me on 10mg Provera for 10 days a few weeks ago and it stopped the periods but a couple of days of very light spotting have occurred and with no pattern.
I'd love input, except for encouragement to take it out. My periods are debilitating without it so for now, it's not an option. Thanks in advance!
