we are trying. he loves his baby food jars, and sucking on foods. we've started trying little foods. he likes them but still figuring out he needs to swallow them.

We do a combination of finger foods and purées. Some finger foods he does really well with and some freak me out so we use purées to make sure he’s actually consuming something or if I don’t have the time to let him screw around with the food for an hour.

We are still on baby food jars. He is 7 1/2 months and he was eating 4oz of baby food a day but then he got sick. He also has a gagging problem on even breastmilk so can't really in good conscious give him finger foods when his meal times take almost an hour for how slow we have to go
