Is it possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding?

I just had my son in August, and I am breastfeeding and plan to breastfeed until he is one year. But my husband and I want to start trying for a second baby and when my son is a year old. 
I’m almost three months postpartum and still have no period! I feel like if I keep breastfeeding for a year I won’t have a period and we won’t be able to get pregnant with our second one as soon as we want? Anyone have experience?

Completely possible. I got pregnant at 8 months pp while breastfeeding (ended in miscarriage) and at 15 months pp, still breastfeeding, then breastfed until I was almost in my 3rd trimester

I got my period back about 4 months PP with my daughter. I breastfeed for a year but had to stop at around the year because of supply issues. Conceived my son when I was 9 months pp with her. I've breastfed him for a year and one month now, still going! I got my period about 5 months PP with him. And I am now 10 weeks pregnant. Long story short you will most likely get your period in the next year if not you can reevaluate when baby is a year. And you can definitely be pregnant and still breastfeed. Good luck.

I was exclusively breastfeeding my first when my period returned 5 months postpartum. I got pregnant again when he was 9 months old and continued to breastfeed him until 15 months. 
Some women don’t get a period until they stop breastfeeding, but that’s not how it happens for everyone. Unfortunately there’s really know way to know which you will be until it actually happens.

Breastfeeding is not a form of birth control you can definitely get pregnant will EBF & even before you get your period back as well because you ovulate before you get your period.
