Getting cavity filled during pregnancy ?

Im a ftm and i recently just went to the dentist and they said that i need to go back because i have a small cavity that needs to be filled in but im not sure if i should go through with it they told me it was safe but i need all the reassurance i can get any advice ladies ?

I had a few small areas worked on while pregnant. They have a mouthwash that can numb you a little. My dentist said he wouldn’t do novocaine shots on pregnant women.

It will be fine. I’ve had cavities done while pregnant, just no laughing gas. Everything else won’t affect baby.  I usually have mine done no numbing anyway. It’s faster and it really doesn’t hurt.

If they know youre pregnant, they know to use pregnancy safe medication.

I had one done. I was probably about mid way through my pregnancy

My dentist said I couldn’t until second trimester and he’d rather wait until after the baby as long as it doesn’t get worse. It was quite small when I went last. It was August and I was 8 weeks.

They should wait til 2nd trimester if possible and they will use a numbing solution without epinephrine:)

I had one done but I told him I was pregnant and he used a different numbing solution.
