Has anyone ever had their jaw hurt while they were pregant? Iv been have a jaw pain for a few days went to the dr and they don't know what wrong

Do you have tmj? I noticed my jaw starts hurting usually the week before I start my period.

Do you notice yourself clenching or grinding your teeth? Pregnancy changes a lot and can cause some stress even if it's not apparent! I'm a hygienst and I see a lot of soon to be moms and even women not expecting having jaw pain. You can also be clenching or grinding in your sleep! Try a cheap night guard from the store and if you notice it during the day try to remember to keep your jaw muscles in an open and relaxed postion :) your dentist can make you a custom fitting night guard if it is something you are doing during the night!

Not related to pregnancy - but my jaw hurts a lot from stress. I guess I clench it when I don't realize. I use peppermint oil and massage my neck and jaw. Hope this helps!
