Vegans, do you still breastfeed?

I was a vegan to aviod harming animals but it pains me to not breastfeed. Also its natural and human milk not another animals.

I am trying to figure out why being vegan would keep someone from breastfeeding.

If you are breastfeeding (willingly) you aren't being exploited or taken advantage of like farm animals are. It's completely natural to breastfeed, the same way a cow would feed her calf.

Breastfeeding is not the same as drinking another species milk. People breastfeeding aren't being harmed, pumped with hormones or constantly impregnated to ensure the supply of breast milk is continuous. People breast feed for their babies and are not exploited by farmers or marketing.

If you're vegan you can still breastfeed. It doesn't contradict your beliefs. If you want to breast feed, do it. If you don't, don't.

Unless your baby pushes away your boobs and say "hey lady in a vegan, I don't want none of that," then vegans should have no objections to breast feeding! 😜

I know what you are saying.
Vegans dont eat honey or eggs even though the animal isnt harmed in the process. Its a natural occurrence. 
Cows produce milk naturally too. And Vegans don't drink dairy milk either.
Breastmilk is a natural occurrence as well!  Yet I'm sure they would breastfeed their babies. Seems like a contradiction to some of their beliefs.

My mother is vegan and she breastfed my brother. I see why you would think it would be against the rules, but part of being vegan is accepting the natural way. human babies drink human milk. the same way cow babies drink cow milk. that's just the way it is.
