What will doctors do for pcos???

I am making an appt due to TERRIBLE cramps. My mom had pcos and had to have a couple removed at my age. 
What are some things doctors do for it? I really don’t want to be on birth control and I’m worried that’s all they will do for me.

It depends on how the PCOS effects you..
Birth Control is an option if your periods are irregular and you want to get them regular again, and obviously helps if you don’t want to get pregnant.
There are other medications that a doctor could suggest to help with PCOS symptoms and ovulation if you do want to get pregnant.
Not every woman with PCOS needs surgery to have cysts removed. Diet and exercise and staying healthy can help with PCOS as well. 
As I said, it all depends on the situation and how it effects you.
