BF gone to Jamaica with friend

OK.. So my boyfriend is currently at Jamaica with his friend and I'm unbelievable jealous. I know i should wish him well and be happy for him, but I can't. We're from Europe, so a trip to Jamaica is not something you can afford every year.

Anyway, let's start from the beginning. My BF had been keeping a watch over cheap air fares to go on a vacation with me. Few weeks ago he saw plane tickets to Barcelona and we planned to enjoy a long weekend there. But everytime I told him to order the tickets, he would 'forget'. Three weeks later he told me he's going to Jamaica with a friend on a 14 day vacation.

It was such a hard blow to me. He knows I can't afford expensive vacation as I just started a new job and am paying quite a lot to a dentist and have to deal with school fees on top of that. So knowing he's taking a friend just because I can't afford it makes me feel miserable.

Now he sends me all the pictures of the white sand and warm sea and says I would love it there... And I'm at home, while it's cold outside and overcast and the sun sets when I leave work...

How would you react? How can I be more positive? I honestly want him to enjoy it, I'm just sad I can't be there with him.
