Epidural might not be an option...
I had a spinal fusion when I was 13 years old. My spine is fused from cervical down through thoracic but my lumbar is not fused. I was recently told by my doctor that I may not be able to get an epidural, and I won’t know for sure until the anesthesiologist sees me... which won’t be until I’m in labor. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I’m scared of possibly “needing” it and not being able to. Does anyone have stories to share about iv pain meds and no epidural? Also want to hear from those with no pain meds. I want to hear the good and bad just so I can mentally prepare for worst case scenario.
Thank you! ❤️
