Anything else besides Zofran!?

I have HG and its always super severe however this Dr i have now refuses to prescribe Zofran. Even though it's the only thing that's ever helped me. She gave me campazine and Reglan and told me to just deal with it. I tried telling her it doesn't go away but she wouldn't listen. Is their anything that helped others besides Zofran or shiukd i just go to another dr.

Try diclegis it’s amazing. It didn’t work much with my last pregnancy but it’s been helping me a lot with this one.

Zofran was found to give baby birth defects so they no long prescribed it for pregnant woman. My dr told me to try half a unisom and B6. I havent tried it yet but have been told it works and is safer for the baby.

Thanx everyone I've tried Phenergan before and it made it worse. Compazine is kind of the same way just doesn't help. Day one with nothing to eat or drink ugh!

I took phenergan suppositories + intravenously at the hospital when I had HG. My Dr explained the risks of the drug weren’t conclusive & the effects of HG/dehydration were more dangerous for the fetus. Nothing ever really gave me total relief though, so I took it sparingly. Sorry you’re suffering!! It can be so hard to deal with. I’d check with another doctor if it’s your only way of making it through day to day.

My doc says Benadryl and if that don’t help they’ll prescribe promethazine. Zofran is only used as a last resort & Reglan isn’t recommended by my OB because it can cause something called tardive dyskinesia.

Diclegis has saved me. Just after one dose. I went from vomiting 5-7 times a day to not at all. Just super sleepy.

Yeah my appointment Friday my ob told me they can’t give zofran anymore to try the ginger losages. 😐
