Is Ezra too similar to Elias? We have an Elias    (E-Lie-us) and baby brother is due in 6 weeks. We like Ezra but think people will get their names confused.

My mom gets her kids mixed up all the time- none of us have anything similar for names. There’s been a few times she called my brothers the dog’s name and vice versa lol. The mix up will happen no matter what, but I don’t think it’s because Ezra and Elias sound too similar.

I think they'll be alright. My brothers Mark and Richard got confused for each other, as well as my brothers Jake and Sam. If they're gonna get the names confused, they will get them confused no matter how similar or different they are. That being said, just because they start with the same letter, doesn't mean they are too similar. A combo like Eliza and Ezra(for girls) maybe, but your names are different enough.
