Doctor versus midwives?

What do you guys think? I did dr with my first and am considering midwives the 2nd time around.

The hospital that I go to uses midwives for your check ups and everything, you only see the dr if you have complications until the last few visits. The midwives deliver and everything.

I absolutely loved the midwives at the birthing center where my son was born. I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable like a lot of people think you are if there's no doctor there. Midwives are highly trained professionals who specialize in pregnancy and childbirth! I loved my experience there and I am excited to see all of them again for this pregnancy!

I'm high risk so have been referred for consultant led care - I will still see midwives for regular checks, but they'll be from a team based at the hospital instead of the community midwives and I'll also see an obstetrician.  I think what's best depends on your individual circumstances.

I had a doctor with my first and we are using a midwife this pregnancy. We had our first appt yesterday it was so nice it was like calm and they explain stuff. It was just really different

First was born at a military hospital with a midwife. I didn't even know the one on duty when he was born. It was so much better than the 1 dr I did see early on. But she did give me pitocin to deliver placenta without my consent. Just because there were so many moms in labor that night. It was not okay! My second baby I had a home birth and my midwife wAs amazing! No complaints.
