No boyfriend

Ok I know everyone says that you should just wait until the right person comes along and everything, but I have waited a long time and I am still yet to have a boyfriend. I don't think any guy I know has ever liked me and I'm really bad at talking to guys! I don't know what it is but I can't bring myself to start a conversation with a guy I always wait for them. Any advice?
