Skyler for our new baby boy - mixed reactions

After much deliberation, we decided to name our little boy Skyler who was born 10 days late.

It was on our list for potential girls names (Skylar) but then we found it was unisex.

We liked it because he is our rainbow baby and I wanted something that was a nod to that (rainbows in the sky...)

Problem is, the grandparents don’t like the name... and have been very honest about it. Most of our friends (25-40 years old) have said it’s really unique and beautiful.

Also I now see there is a flying jaguar in Elena of Avalor called Skyler - so our 5 year old daughter is happy with the name now ☺️

Due to the mixed reactions, I feel we may have made a mistake 😕... although I LOVE the name x
