Wellbutrin - advice appreciated

I just saw my doctor for my annual physical and discussed the possibility of maybe needing something because of how I've been feeling the past year. She suggested Wellbutrin, but I've never been on any type of medication like that before so I'm very hesitant (and to be honest a little embarrassed) about it. Has anyone taken this and have some experience. Did it help or not help? Any side effects you experienced?
