Antibiotics before fet?? Why

Anyone know why my doctor prescribed a zpack antibiotics before fet? This is my third fet and I’ve never had this with any of my others.

I am starting doxycycline (antibiotic) and medrol (steroid) tomorrow. Both are 4 days. They are preventative to reduce any type of bacteria or inflammation from getting in the way of a good transfer. My fet is scheduled for Wednesday.

I read up on steroid use during fertility treatments and studies gave shown that it reduces the chance of miscarriage. It doesn't really say how or why. Just that women who use it experienced fewer pregnancy losses than the women who didn't take it
