How to tell if it’s amniotic fluid?

So after I went to the bathroom, emptied my bladder, I went to wash my hands.  All of a sudden a small gush of clear, no smell order made my underwear soaked.  I’ve had no contractions, baby has been moving as usual.  Should I be worried? Or is this more joyous discharge.  Besides smell/color how do you tell the difference? Thanks ladies, sorry for all the gross info :)

Always best to get checked out.
When I was preggo with my 1st, I noticed clear odorless liquid in much smaller quantity then you have now, I was told to go get it checked. They did a simple test to see if it was in fact amniotic fluid and it was. Once you start leaking they need to try to stop it if your too early. I was 35 +6 and basically got induced that night and delivered my son 3 days later. Better safe than sorry.

leaking is normal in pregnancy- and even AFTER! but if youre concerned, I'd suggest getting checked. never hurts to be safe than sorry

I get this often after I empty my bladder. Sometimes it’s clear, sometimes it’s white. I’ve been considering it discharge.

Update - called my doctor and they had me go to labor and delivery to make sure it wasn’t amniotic fluid.  They did an exam, it was not, all was clear.  However it was not a fun morning.  Thanks for all your help ladies!!!

I always do this! I legit have to wear a panty liner and change it two or three times a day. I leak a little more pee right after I stand up from peeing each time and have discharge as well.

Amniotic fluid smells sweet. If it smells like nothing its probably more discharge. BUT, if you are worried go get it checkes out. 😀

Empty your bladder and lay down for 30 minutes walk around the house if panties get soaked then it maybe fluid. They say fluid is constant so if panties only wet sometimes probably just discharge or pee! I having the same problem.
