How long did you breastfeed?

I’m just curious, of the October mamas, who is still breastfeeding? And for the ones that have switched to formula, how long did you breastfeed for? I’m just trying to figure out what the norm is. I know it’s best to keep going at least a year, but I was wondering if most people make it that far or if people drop off in the beginning.

My first I made it to about 5 months  my supply had dropped and I was becoming really stressed out about it and felt pressured to try because everyone kept saying it's best for baby. I had a serious tall with my doctor and she made me feel so much better about switching to formula. With this baby I'm taking it day by day there are days I love it and days I hate it those are the days i pump and feed him. I have a 2 year old so there are some days she is crawling all over me and then my son nursing makes me just want to have no one on me.

I am still breastfeeding and plan to for the first 6-7 months of my baby’s life. I am using formula as well for when my hubby has her or parents as well as breast milk pumped. 
I have been exclusively pumping 3-4 times a day and have a good supply built up for when I go back to work in January. I was worried my supply wouldn’t be enough but it is more than I expected! I feel like I got the hang of it and my body tells me when it’s time to pump.

Going back to work soon .. so were working on building a supply and getting her to drink formula so far the formula has been a no go 😩🤦🏽‍♀️

I used to exclusively pump up to 2 months and switch to Similac alimentum after 5th try on formula that works for my son, i had to supplement but i still have milk coming so i breastfeed him once a day just so my milk won’t dried up fast.

I don't know if there is a "norm".  It's what works for you.  My first breastfed until 10 months (she got a tooth and decided she was done...little stinker) and I pumped until 13 months when my supply dried up.  
Both had/have been absolute hell.  I've wanted to quit so bad, but I'm fighting through.  This one is 3 weeks now. I'm going to make it and keep going!

I was an exclusive pumper with my first and that lasted until he was 14 months old (I was pregnant so needed to stop).
 
I hope to go until 1 year with my second currently.
