Having a baby?

Hi guys I’m 16 and I might be pregnant , I’ve been thinking about it and there is nothing more I want than to be a mom and give my child the things I never had.
I’m in care but I have the privilege of going to a private school and I’ve been told I will be financially and emotionally supported and my foster mother is lovely and specialises in looking after teen moms.
I love school and care about my education but I’ve had so much shit thrown at me in life I think a baby would give my life purpose and I can show my parents even tho they couldn’t parent I’m not like them and I can be a good mom. I’m not sure if I’m just being silly and this is a really bad idea , I get it’s a huge life changing decision . I wondered if there were anymore young moms out there to give me some guidance xox

No matter how ready you think you are, no one is truly ready at 16. If possible, wait a few more years

You really need to be financially ready for a baby. Not your foster mom, you. You're not even old enough to carry health insurance for this baby. Give it a few years before deciding to bring a life into this world.

I very much hope your time is later- 16 with no home, no education, no income, no stability... sounds like a real shitty road to go down. All my friends had kids young with tons of support. 8–10 years later they have nothing to show but rented apartments and no true future. All had to give up their life to be stay at home moms struggling financially since day one

It’s true having a baby at a young age will change your life forever. Trust me from experience, your money won’t be your own anymore. Your will be forced to grow up and mature in many ways that your peers aren’t, and you’ll have many life lessons. But you will never love another soul more then your child. That love is unexplainable. ❤️

If you’re financially steady and committed to take care of a baby then yea, no one knows better than yourself. But if you think that having a baby gonna change your life or might give you a better purpose and to prove to your parents how to parent, I don’t think thats a right reason to have a baby and I think you should focus on yourself.

At 16 I really doubt you’re in a stable place to raise a baby, financially ect. Also you cant assume a baby will make all your problems better, raising a baby is extremely hard, especially at a young age. Id wait until you’ve grown up a bit.
