Does the need for reassurance get annoying?

It’s just I need so much reassurance, I’ll be fine for a month or two and then I get doubtful and just need to be told everything is fina between us. Do you guys think it gets annoying to him that I need this?

I do that in my relationship because I have anxiety. Like when my boyfriend works a 16 hour day and can't text me, my anxiety starts getting bad an I just need him to let me know everything's ok.

I don't think annoying is the right word.  Frustrating may be a better one.  Some people are okay with it, but as for myself, I don't think I could handle being in a relationship like that.  Not because of my partner's constant need for reassurance but dealing with my own thoughts and feeling that what I'm doing will never be enough or else they wouldn't ask for that reassurance.

I felt like this literally up until last week and I’ve been with my boyfriend for for over 3 and a half years. I was going through a lot or rather I’d just been through a lot before we met, so when we met, I just wanted to focus on us instead of my issues. I’ve been in therapy since we met as well, but it was very hard to open up at first, so our relationship has had its struggles, as any relationship does. But I know my thoughts have been irrational and even though it was hard to talk to him about certain things, I always did eventually even if it took me a long which is why I was still feeling this way at up until last week. I know he loves me and he knows I love him and we know we want a future together, but I felt it was time to figure out if he wanted to get married and have kids someday. He’s made hunts here and there making it seem like he didn’t, but then other times it seemed like he did, but I was tired of wondering because it wasn’t giving me anxiety and his answer when I initially asked him made it seem like he didn’t, so then it made me rethink our entire relationship and like question why we’ve even been together this long. The next morning we had a more detailed discussion. The night we had the discussion he was very tired, in his defense and I just kind of asked him out of the blue while we were getting ready to go to sleep. He then said that he does, just not soon and I was like well duh! The whole time apparently he thought I was asking him to propose to me like right now or something and I was just like when did I ever say that?? So, anyway, now we’re on the same page and I can finally put that behind me. I don’t need to know when those things are gang to happen, I just wanted to know that he wanted to eventually. Even if we don’t get married for like 10 years I don’t care, as long as I know it’ll happen someday. Communication, (calm and straight up communication, specifically) is the key to a successful relationship. It can be scary, but it is extremely important, so that we don’t have to torture ourselves with these doubts.
