D&E ***POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING *****

I went in today for what I thought was going to be a routine 18 week checkup. Instead I had to have an emergency ultrasound because they couldn’t find a heat beat.

The ultrasound showed that my sweet baby’s heart had in fact stopped.

I go in tomorrow morning for a D&E, and was wondering if anyone else has had to have one done, what it consisted of and what happens to the baby’s remains.
