Late ovulators: Any other preggos ever have this happen??

Question

I am 8 weeks today but baby is only at 5 weeks! 
I ovulated super late so baby is 3 weeks later than he/she "should" be. I knew baby would be behind but I didn't realize how much!

Had the first ultrasound today, but obviously couldn't see much.
Anyone else ever have this happen?

I was only behind by 4-5 days. My OB said they usually worry when the baby is behind more than a week, but if you’re baby is like mine, they’ll catch up! By my next appointment my little guy was measuring right on track, he just had a slow start.

When I did my first test I was 8 days late for my period so just over three weeks from when I thought I would ovulate. Took the test and it came up in seconds! So I thought by LMP I would of been around 6 weeks. Turns out I was only 4 when I found out and my doctor at the scan was surprised I got such a dark positive! So I must have ovulated a hell of a lot later than I thought🙈

My cycles are super irregular because my son was still nursing. Based on lmp I should have been going on 12 weeks. Ultrasound showed I was just a few days over 8 weeks. I’m now entering third trimester with a healthy baby.

I had the same happen. However mine ended with a miscarriage. Thought I was going in for an 8 week check, baby measured less than 6 weeks with no heartbeat. Went in at supposedly 10 weeks and saw the same thing with no HB.

I'll be honest, not by 3 weeks.  I'm a week behind what we originally thought due to late ovulation
