If you have herpes and are married do you protect your spouse from it?

Just a friendly debate with my husband about if someone has herpes in a marriage... What happens 🤷

Marriage does not equal open season for STI's... you *hope* you'll stay married to that person forever but it doesn't always work out that way. Personally, I'm negative for everything and I want to stay that way no matter how much I love someone

My spouse accepts the risks without worry, complaint, or being an asshole. In fact, when we first got together and I had to have the talk with him, his reaction was so understanding and accepting that it brought me to tears. He didn’t Shame me or walk away needing time to respond. He immediately said, that’s it? So what do WE need to do? 
Luckily, my issues have never been hard to deal with. I do not have outbreaks and such, I only know I have the virus due to blood testing. We don’t have to really work around it at all and I don’t have to take any suppression medications, even during my pregnancies or child birth.

I don’t even get outbreaks anymore. Herpes has been really hyped it’s really not a big deal. He’s done all the research and there have been no problems. If I think I may be getting an outbreak we just refrain. No biggie

I occasionally get oral herpes (fever blisters also known as cold sores) which are NOT sexually transmitted. I've suffered from them my whole life.  I normally get them when I've spent the day in the sun without sun block or when I'm stressed or coming down with flu and my immune system is low.  My husband also occasionally gets them and has his whole life too. 
When either of us feels them coming on (burn, itch or tingle) then we DONT kiss or use the same glass or utensils or anything that could spread the herpes to the other.  These things are extremely contagious and are extremely painful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I wouldnt ever take the risk of spreading it to my ears, nose, eyes, genitals and family, friends and even my husband.

Yes I would, but if we tried to have a baby as you all know you can’t wear condomns.  Most obgyn a day no matter what you do to protect if you’re married to someone they’re gonna eventually get it.
