Can PCOS effect pregnancy tests???

Samm

Ok so this is a weird one....

I’ve been diagnosed PCOS fit in excess of 10 years. In between that diagnoses and now I’ve had occasions of going 6 months + without anything to recently being bang on regular.

The last 6 months atleast I’ve been regular to the dot. As well as being PCOS I’m also a type 2 diabetic and have an under active thyroid so you can imagine my drugs cabinet lol.

AF has not arrived from October. I had unprotected sex on a high fertility day, so in all honesty I was pretty much expecting a positive test when I done one.

First one done 4 days AF late was negative. I then done another at 8 days late and still negative. I’m now day 10 and still no AF.

What I’m asking really is can PCOS hormones affect home pregnancy test kits?

What also is worrying me is that my one pregnancy to date was a complete surprise and I didn’t realise my son was coming into the world until I was in labour. He’s now a strapping 7 year old lol. At the time I did do a test with him but I remember that also coming back negative lol. So I’ve got that worry in my head that I could still be pregnant and just once again have a very low hormone level!

Me and my boyfriend aren’t using any protection, but haven’t actually said ‘let’s try’ either. It’s pretty much a case of if it happens it happens!

Sorry for the lengthy post!
