Oversupply?

Anyone knows how to deal with it? I am ebf and My lactation consultant asked me to pump once after the morning feeding and drain my breasts and then feed from one side in 3 hour blocks. It is not helping me. When I put my baby on the second breast after 3 hours she gets sprayed with milk and there is too much for handle so she coughs and I have to stop and drain some milk on to the towel. Has anyone else dealt with this? I am hoping there is something else I can do to help my baby not choke on my milk. She is a little over two weeks!
