Medical billing/coding

Is there anyone on here who works in a hospital or clinic and does medical billing/coding??

One of my local colleges has a course that I might be interested in taking but I’m not sure if it’s worth it, or if it’s even needed.

I know several people who have gotten positions at hospitals and clinics, with only a highschool diploma all because of who they know. I however have no connections like that.
