Birth control pill or implant?

Question

So I’m 17 and I’ve decided to get on birth control just to be safer when having sex and I’ve heard a lot of good and bad things about both so i would like to hear some of you guys’ opinions .. feel free to leave a comment explaining your birth control method (:

I have the implant and i think it's definitely the best choice for me but genreally i think it does have more side effects than other methods like the pill.

I've been taking the pill (minastrin 24 fe) for 7 years and I love it. 
If you can remember to take a pill every day (which not everyone can and that's ok!) then the pill is a good choice. 
On minastrin I dont really get my period- since it's sort of like a mini "extended cycle pill" it has 24 days of active hormones (instead of the typical 21) then 4 days of placebos. I usually just skip the placebos completely and that way I dont get my period. I dont run into problems with my insurance covering it after 24 days like I did with another 21-day pill I used. 
The only real side effect I got from minastrin was vaginal dryness. I just use lube or a condom and it's not a problem.
I tried a different type of pill which gave me a lot of side effects before I took minastrin. If you start to feel on edge, depressed, or anxious on any pill you try, just pay attention to it or let someone close to you know that it might happen so they can notice and let you know if you dont connect it on your own. 
Big upsides to the pill are that my PMS is gone basically. I used to have really bad periods but now they're asymptomatic. Also it helped with my acne.
Everyone responds differently to different pills. If you have a bad experience on one, try one with different hormone formulations. I hear a lot of people never take the pill again because they got side effects with the first and only brand they took and never tried anything different. 
All in all, I'm very happy on the pill. Honestly I've never used any other method like the patch or the shot so I really can't attest to those methods. I have heard horror stories about insertion of the IUD so I never want to get one myself but that's just me.
I get my birth control through nurx- it's a website that sends you your birth control in the mail. It's super convenient and discreet. All you need to know is your blood pressure. Their customer service is good and they are quick to solve issues. I can send you a coupon code if you're interested in getting money off. For now, still see your gyno and see what they recommend. Maybe once your comfortable on a pill then you can try mail order. That's what I did.

I’m on the Nuvaring and I love the connivence. It is easy to remove if I were to have side effects- which I do not- and I only have to worry about it twice a month (when I’m putting it in and when I’m taking it out).

I was on lo loestrogen which is the lowest a hormone borthcontrol can go, only issue with it was it made my periods stop and I was paranoid about being pregnant...now im on the patch and people say it will be better bc its not as much of taking the pill everyday the same time its just change the patch on a tuesday at 8

I personally am on the Depo shot and I love it. You dont have to do anything except for go in once every 3 months and if you want to not be on it you dont have to do anything except not go in for your next shot
