I met a dude

So I met this boy who I e only hung out with 2 times but I really like him he works with my brother and idk if I should ask him on a date bc it seems like he’s flirting but I honestly don’t know I saw him today and he kept making jokes ab his size and he asked my brother who I was and when he replied with I’m his sister the boy looked relieved like he now had a chance with me and I found it funny so ig if that was a way of flirting it worked and he’s so mf cute I just want to be with him but idk if I should ask him for his number or if he wants to go on a date or just do nothing bc I read the signals wrong and I asked somebody ab him and she said he was like that with a lot of people so maybe he don’t like me at all I rlly don’t know please help
