Scan at 6w to hear baby’s Heart beat do you think is to early?

Hi ladies! I’m very anxious about this pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy and it looks like everything that I read is about things that go wrong in the early stages of the pregnancy. That’s why I’m so nervous thinking that something could go wrong. 
I’m planing to do a private scan next week, I will be 6w do you think I should be able to hear baby’s heart beat?

US tech here. Assuming your dating is correct, you should be able to see baby and detect a heartbeat just fine. Very rarely, if the uterus is tilted a certain way (normal variant), it can be hard to see at that stage, but very rarely. The problem I see is "hearing" the heartbeat. Some places still do this, but it is NOT approved by the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology until you are in the second trimester and SHOULD not be performed until 14 weeks! The issue is that, in order to perform the function that gives us the SOUND of baby's heartbeat, the power setting on the machine has to be at 100%. For all other scanning, we keep the power lower than that. Correlations have been found when this is done frequently on first trimester babies and, though no direct link to anything has been found, we can detect the heartbeat and even measure it (just not hear it) using other methods so the policy is basically put it place with a "if it could possibly have negative effects, why risk it at all?" attitude. You are the mother. If you have someone willing to perform that function, you are the decision maker. Personally, I would have a fit if someone did that to my child in the first trimester. You make your decision.
As a tech in an OB clinic where the patients could see me scan, I would be sure to take the time to zoom in on baby, point out the motion of the heart so they could see it, measure it and tell them how fast the heart was beating, and then explain why we wouldn't be hearing it til later on, if they asked. Again, I think it's a sign of either an untrained operator or an irresponsible tech to even be willing to do that, but you are the parent and the decision is yours. Best of luck!

I was 6 weeks when I heard the heartbeat with my third, my other 2 we couldn’t hear anything until 7 weeks

It might be. At my ultrasound 2 years ago we got to see the baby and hear the heart beat at 6 weeks. It depends on a lot of factors.

Too early to see the baby yet. They can normally see the babies heart beat at around 8 weeks. 
Try not to panic just yet!
