Abrupt change in cycle days?

MY cycle averages 35-40 days. Today i started spotting like im going to have my period. It will be 10 days early! I dont think it's implanttion either cause it's more than that and dark brown in color. Is it possible that i now have 28 cycle days just like that? Side note: had HSG 3 weeks ago
