Cost of pregnancy?

How much did you spend on doctor visits with or without insurance during pregnancy? 
How often did you go to prenatal visits? 
How much did it cost for delivery in the hospital?

With my husbands insurance we paid $3,200! It was so expensive. With his new insurance and working at Johns Hopkins we pay $0!!!!

It really depends on the policy. I've had 4 kids and my part, all with blue cross insurance, has ranged from $5,000 to $200, all because I had a better policy. It depends on your deductible, coinsurance, out of pocket max for the year, and hospital stay daily rate.

I have a PPO. We had a $30 co-pay for our first prenatal visit and after that they didn’t cost us anything. We did however pay nearly around $7,000 out-of-pocket for the birth and aftercare. I had an emergency c-section and our baby spent 3 days in the NICU though.  I’ve been told we would have paid next to nothing with an HMO.

Depends on the insurance policy and if you are high risk. I’m high risk so I have twice as many doctors visits and ultrasounds, blood work, and urine tests.

I paid my ob $730 and my insurance covered 80% of my birth so I paid $4k. I had an epidural so it would’ve been cheaper...

Out of pocket cash at my office your OB package (not labor) is 3200. That’s normally picked up by ins.  
My first baby with everything (including l&d) I had to pay $600 with dual insurance.
