How many outfits should your baby have?

I have a bunch of clothes for baby i got throughout pregnancy & at my baby shower. I have a bunch of new borns & 0-3 months. Wondering how much outfits i should have with each month? People keep telling me they grow out of new born within two weeks so should i return my new born clothes & get a bunch of 4-5 months clothes?
Also how many socks, bibs and blankets? We don’t have a washer and dryer anymore so I’ll be doing it at family’s house when i can

I was told the same about newborn so i limited how much i bought but it definitely wasn’t enough. I’ve gone out twice now to grab more newborn sleepers and 0-3 is waaaaaay to big on her. Shes about 8lbs and a week old and still has lots of room in her newborns

We got a crap ton of newborn clothes at the baby shower. Luckily our LO only weighed 6 lb 10 oz when she was born (overdue too!) so we’re just now getting to use maybe half of them (4 weeks old today). I spent the first couple weeks rotating the same few sleepers because they were easy and had hand covers/feet attached and were warm. I just finally started getting into the millions of onesies we have!

depends on the size they’re born. my baby was born at 39 weeks weighing 7lb 1oz and nb clothes were huge, she left the hospital 6lb 11oz, she’s now 15 days old and weighs 7lb 15oz and still fits in nb clothes and some are even still a little big, some are small. it all just depends on your baby specifically and the brand of clothes.

It depends. I’d say new born is a waste. I change my son at least 2x a day or if he poops through something or anything like that. I don’t like them wet from drool or just wiping them up if they vomit. So he does go through a bit of clothes. About 20 outfits a week and he wears an white onesie under all his outfits as well. I have tons of bibs & burping clothes. I have so much clothes I don’t have space BUT he does go through them. There isn’t anything he doesn’t wear AND if you aren’t going to wash often then you need to make sure you have enough for between washing. I have at least 6 blankets but again that’s me. If he throws up or anything it does automatically into the dirty clothes.

You’re going to have a tonnnn of laundry. I’d work on getting a washer and dryer. Even if it’s one of those tiny combo ones or apartment size.

Some days u will have to change baby more then once. They Will spit up and possibly have a blow out diaper. So it's good to have extra. They do grow out of new born clothes fast as u could have a bigger baby. My son has always wore a size bigger then he was. He's 4 yrs old now and wears a 5t he's tall
