Breastfeeding and pumping help!
So my baby started teething at about 2 months. He is 3.5 now and it has gotten pretty bad andantes week he bit me pretty hard. I was still nursing and on Monday while nursing upon latch it was very painful and I examined my nipple and it was injured. My husband offered to be home during the work day so he could feed him with some of my stored milk while I pumped to give me a break. He did this for 2 days. I pumped every time the baby ate. I pumped for longer times than I normally did when he was nursing to hopefully take place of his feedings. I noticed the second day towards the end I was not producing quite as much as I normally do. A typical day for me is to pump 3 times a day 1x in AM and 2x in evening and typically get 3-4 ounces each time (more in my right than left). I started nursing again yesterday and while pumping I noticed I am not getting as much at each pumping and today is even less. I’m lucky to get 1 ounce now.
Did I ruin my supply? I don’t understand Bc I didn’t change anything except give a small break nursing. And everything online says to increase production to pump/nurse more and I feel as though my boobs are dried up.
