Sharing room with baby?

Question

So our baby was definitely planned and we are super excited but we are still in a one bedroom and plan on that for another year. My husband lived here for a few years before I did even and so he is locked in on an amazingly cheap rate. 
My issue is that people who hear we are in a 1 bedroom make it feel like we are doing something bad or it will be miserable. We want to buy a house within the next 2 years but until then I feel like saving is more important. Also our one bedroom is huge.
Anyone else in the same boat? I feel like a bad mommy already

I am definitely room sharing for a year! Our other room is the office and guest room and we can’t afford to give rush to! It’s recommended to share for a year if you can. Don’t worry about the opinions of others...do what’s right for your family :)

We have 3 bedrooms and a sunroom that could easily be made into another room But even with all those rooms our little babe will be in ours! They are better off in your room so why does it matter if you have other rooms anyhow all they would do is go to waste 💁🏽‍♀️ ignore them and just do you mumma ✨

We have a 4 bedroom house. Babies room is done up an all but that we skitter is not moving out of my room until he r she is 1. Partner thinks 6 months but nah 1 😉

We moved into a 2 bedroom 2 months ago. But I already have a son. That being said, he has one bedroom and we share ours with the baby. It works well that way. I room shared with my son for the first year. It makes night time feedings and wake ups so much easier to handle

This is in corner of our bedroom. We have an extra room .... but i know until he sleeps through the night ... its just better and crib wont collect dust .. he can get use to it

We will have two in a room with us! We live in San Francisco and rent out the bottom part of my mom’s house. Is it ideal? No, but we make it work. Can’t beat the cheap rent! I find it’s a very American taboo to have kids stay in the same room as you for over a year. 🙄 The root always seems to be that it’s somehow going to mess with the intimacy between you and your partner.

I'm room sharing evening with having a nursery. Baby is going to be too young to sleep in her own room for a while so, while it is set up as a nursery, I'm also using it as my home office and gym. There is absolutely nothing wrong with room sharing, you're not a bad mom

They new recommendations state that baby should share a room with the parents for a year. It promotes safer sleep. Our firstborn slept in our room for a year before we bought his big boy furniture and transitioned him to his own room. He still sneaks into our bedroom every other night, but we’re fine with it. You can’t replace those cuddles!

I lived in a one bedroom apartment until my first was 18 months and now our second will sleep in her rock n play in our room for around 8-12 months. Babies don’t take up too much space it’s completely doable 😁
