Sooo can somebody like explain how this works? Lol

💙

So I have my one hour glucose test, failed it by 2 points, took my 3 hour and completely bombed every one so I get a call and get told I have gestational diabetes and I gotta go see a nutritionist and pick up my little monitor. I do all this..learn what are some good foods to eat and all this..get myself on a schedule of eating and taking my blood sugar. Someone tell me why the hell my numbers are lower after I eat whatever I want compared to what I’m ‘supposed’ to eat? Meaning like cleaner foods..healthier, which is cool and all. I don’t mind it. But when I eat something that probably isn’t the best for me my blood sugar is low and fine. Like I don’t get it lol

I’m not sure the testing for gestational diabetes is entirely accurate? What do I know

And I’m 32 weeks and have only gained 9 pounds...which my doctor is like wow it’s hard to believe you’re even considered GD!
