Sleeping in a Pack and Play?

FTM. We got this Pack and Play. We have it next to our bed instead of a bassinet. We will put baby boy in it before we transition him to his crib. As a newborn is he safe to sleep at night in the top left section? Or is it better to get rid of the top attachments and just put him in the play pen area? Advise please

Had that same exact play pin for my first baby it worked perfectly I ended up getting a crib for free and used it for my second child and really loved the pack n play wayyyy better only down fall was my baby’s father was way taller and the pack n play is kind of short but it was perfect for a shorty like me to reach in without breaking my back lol now pregnant with my 3rd and thinkin of getting rid of the crib and getting another pack n play

I was under the impression the bouncer seat it just for supervised sleep as it might cause positional asphyxia. We got the same pack and play and we intend to take that and the changing table off and have him sleep in the bassinet insert at night.

I plan on getting one pretty similar to that. My first slept in his pack and play for a long time before I switched to the actual crib.
