SMA Carrier

So I got news last week that I’m a carrier for SMA. I was wondering if anyone else had gotten this news. My older brother is a carrier and lost his son 3 years ago to SMA, so I’m pretty emotional about it. I don’t want to lose our baby. Next week is our 16 week check up and we have talked about our donor getting tested. Thankfully we know him and hopefully he will be willing to test. I’m just praying to God that he isn’t a carrier, because if he is than that puts our baby in 1 in 4 chances of having SMA. That number is small, but it still freaks me out.
