Is the words sexual assault & sexual harassment losing their meaning in our current culture?

I’m sure this can get heated but I thought it would be interesting to see what peoples opinions are. I’m not going to share my opinion in this passage but may comment down bellow. Do you feel like these words have lost their meaning or their meaning is being skewed at all in our current culture?

No. If anything, I think people STILL ignore it when sexual assault and harassment occur. I cant believe how many posts I see weekly on here asking if someone was raped and people say no because “you never said no”, “you shouldn’t have drank so much” “why were you wearing that” “it’s just regret”. Statistically speaking, more people get away with rape and other sexual crimes than the amount of false reports. I also think this push against calling out sexual harassment is dangerous and will just lead to even more people not reporting

No, that's called "rape culture" if you think its losing its meaning. Sexual assault and sexual harassment are pretty clear and always will be. All you have is listen to the words "no" "not interested" "leave me alone", etc the first time, read body language, and/or not cat call people.

No. Not at all. Although I do see some confusion between differing term such as rape vs. sexual assault, I don’t see people claiming trauma frivolously.

So my opinion is somewhat.. and this is coming from someone who was raped and sexual assaulted. 
I think that although recent topics about rape, sexual assault, & sexual harassment have done some good and have given victims a platform, I personally feel like some of the things that have been discussed have also put a bad taste in people’s mouth and have made it hard for actual victims to speak up or be taken seriously. I still personally do not feel empowered or comfortable speaking up about being raped because I feel like some of the people discussing sexual assault topics along that line have made a mockery out of it and have taken some credibly away from these subjects.
I’ll see people act extremely upset and “come forward” about very mild things like “this guy said they liked my outfit, I’m being harassed” or other things of that nature. I get it, we should still discuss mild and everyday things but I feel like a lot of it has just gotten really out of hand and ridiculous.
Although I didn’t come forward when it happened out of fear of not being believed that feeling of not being taken seriously is still very much there and unfortunately I think some modern efforts have contributed to that.
That being said there is a push and pull to both extremes and there needs to be a better and a non biased way to handle these topics. There’s a push in the direction of making change that has at times gone too far and there is a pull in the opposite direction that is discrediting actual cause for concern. The balance is off and there needs to be better solutions for how we as a society teach and handle these topics.

I said somewhat because I've seen women scream "Rape!" about things that didn't even count as molestation, let alone rape.

I don’t think it’s that they are losing their meaning. I think people still aren’t taking it seriously though, and often think actions that fall under sexual assault/harassment aren’t a big deal for some reason. I feel like it’s one of those things where people are like “omg everyone is so sensitive these days” but the reality is that sexual assault & harassment happen A LOT. It seems that the more people that come out about it, the less inclined other people will be to believe it.

No. But people still arent taking it serious. Especially with this ideology of "if u didnt do xyz this wouldnt happen" 
Prime example, prostitution.

And im quite sure theres still people that think "well thats to be expected given the business theyre in"..

Also, I’m tired of people who have probably never been sexually assaulted having “opinions” on what victims should say or do. Just be glad you got lucky. I wish this question would be removed.
