Open when box tips?!?!

Question

Any tips or topics I should write about. Any gift ideas to put in a letter? Or any cute corny things to add? 
With his deployment in just a month I figured I’d start with the box.

I have 7 letters finished already.... and more in the works. 
Just waiting for his family to send me a few letters to go in as well. 
I have little dividers I am making for letters from me then his mom and cousin and friends. Then one section for just pictures and of course memes to get a few laughs in.
Italy is the main picture I used because he is Italian.

Super cute idea! I love how you are including the letters from his other loved ones and the memes, I just got inspired from you! 
Honestly I have done the same concept but I don't have enough experience to confidently suggest much, but I can say besides the main subjects you can find on Google one thing that I thought worked well was creating and describing little peaceful scenes he can imagine in his head for a little mental get away. My guy has a thing where he isn't able to actually create imagines in his head- 
(EG: when he dreams he doesn't see little pictures or experience a movie, he just knows the overall story or thoughts of what is going on- like wearing a blind fold and someone describing to you whats around you and what people are doing). 
So one thing I did was give him a little scene he could think of with his eyes closed, like a nice little park with falling autum leaves and a cool breeze, and that gave him a nice little reprieve from his surroundings. 
I think in the end its just about being specific about what topics mean the most to him. 
My guy has depression, which I have dealt with before too, so I'll write validating and encouraging letters to help him through that as well. That is very important to him and helps him out a lot. 
Have fun making it! I bet he'll adore every bit of it, it obviously is being made with LOTS of love. 👍✨
