Do you want to catch your baby?

Does where you are birthing allow this? Have you caught a previous baby? I really want to catch my own baby but I don't know if my hospital allows it I will be asking at my appt tomorrow. What do you ladies think?

Last birth my doctor was like do you want to grab her!? I’m like NOPE NO THANKS.

I had a c-section, but had I delivered vaginally I don’t think I would have chosen to catch him myself. My husband also did not want to catch. Our hospital does allow it though.

I personally want my baby cleaned up before i touch him

I don't have a burning desire to, but I would probably if the opportunity arose. I feel like in the moment I may not be able to or something so I'd not want to try and have no one backing me up. Also I gave birth on my back (by my choice) so that's definitely not a good position for that 😂
