Medical imaging while pregnant ?

I’m currently in my two week wait to see if my period will show or if I’m pregnant. I have a back injury that I’ve been dealing with for a while. My doctor just told me that they want me to go for an mri with and without contrast and a CT scan.

Does anyone know if these are safe procedures during pregnancy ? My doctor wasn’t the one who called me or I would have asked him and my appointment with him isn’t until January and they want me to have the imaging done before my appointment.
