birth stories at 33-35 weeks?

Hi guys!! I had a cervical cerclage put in at around 25 weeks by a fetal specialist. I see him and my regular OB on and off. When I went to see him Wednesday (11/28) he told me my cervix was measuring short again and that I was basically laboring. He told me to go in to the hospital if I contract a lot to either stop contractions or remove my stitch earlier than expected (which was supposed to be removed on the 26th). I went to see my regular OB today, and she ended up having me go into the hospital due to cramping and back pains all weekend (even with medicine that is supposed to stop contractions).. So here I am, 7 hours later waiting to see the specialist to know if he wants to take my stitch out or not. They gave me a shot to stop contractions, along with medicine to stop the contractions and an IV, and also a steroid shot. Im just freaking out that he is going to come too early. Has anybody had a successful birth around 33-35 weeks? If so, can you post your birth story and how much your baby weighed?!

I had my daughter at 34 weeks exactly. She weighed 5 lbs 6oz and was a picture of health! She didn’t spend a single second in the NICU, never had to leave my bedside. The only “issue” she ever had was severe reflux, as her digestive tract was not fully prepared/developed. She is now 8 years old ❤️❤️

just an update if you guys wanted to know: i was going to be discharged around 6 PM since i didnt have contractions all day. Then boom! The contractions hit really hard and really fast. Got my second round of steroids. They gave me a lot of meds to stop contractions, but hasnt really worked. Around 6-7ish, I began having a little bit of leakage. It was just small drips, no smell and was clear. It kept coming so I contacted the nurse. Just waiting on the house doctor to come check to see if my water is breaking. If it is, theyre going to start me on antibiotics soon, take my stitch out, and let nature run it’s course! Wish me goodluck, please! I’m nervous.

I just had my baby boy at 33+2 on August 21st he's completely healthy except he's in the NICU until he learns to eat ( which he has no interest in currently), he didn't even leave enough time for the steroid shots for his lungs to help 😂

I totally know how you feel as my cervix is almost gone as well. I have about 1.3mm left with a cerclage as well. Of course I’m only 27 weeks and had mine placed at 15 weeks. My first child was born at 34+2 and she had a 9 day nicu stay. I did have two rounds of steroid injections though so that made a difference as well. My second child was born at 35 weeks and one round of steroids and he had a 12 day nicu stay. It’s pretty scary but trust me, once baby is home, none of that nicu stress will matter anymore. I had a 34 seeker. 4lbs 7 oz. he was only in the nicu for 6 weeks because he had a brain bleed, otherwise it would’ve been like a week.

My nephew was born at 34 weeks because my sister had pre-eclampsia. He weighed 5 lbs 4 oz (I think...) and was only in the NICU for 8 days. He’s a very healthy 12 year old now and almost as tall as me. 33-35 weeks is VERY possible to have a healthy baby! Good luck, mama. ❤️

My cousin just gave birth at 35 weeks one day having to be induced due to severe preeclampsia. Her little boy was 4lbs12oz and was in NICU for about a week but was doing well and they are both home and doing great now.
