Baby soaking prefolds??

So our baby has finally moved out of newborn diapers and we started using our small stash of CD. 
I have Gerber prefolds and when she pees we will take the cover off and the WHOLE cloth is soaked. Kinda like if you were to clean up a spill with a paper towel and it’s all wet. Idk if that is normal or because the gerber prefolds are so thin. 
Does this happen with other prefolds? What are better prefolds to use?

Gerber prefolds are just the worst. You can double them up which, IMO, will make them bulky. You can also add an insert to your fold which might help, that’s what I do for flats with my 2 year old. Osocozy prefolds are good or Green Mountain Diapers (Cloth-Eez) are the most popular and the ones I’ve used successfully. I’ve heard the Thirsties Duo Hemp prefolds are reallllllly good. As far as what to do with your gerber ones, you can pad fold them into a pocket as an insert, use them as burp cloths, or use them around the house for cleaning.

We always had to double them, and my kids still soaked them every time. We’re investing in pocket diapers and absorbent inserts this time around.

Gerber prefolds are really only good as burp cloths. I would invest in some good hemp or bamboo prefolds or a combo.
