Why won’t he give her closure?

So my man’s ex wanted him to give her closure and he won’t do it. He doesn’t contact her first but she sent him a happy birthday and he said thank you and then she said that she wanted to talk so she can move on. She even said that she wants me there. Does he still have feelings for her?
UPDATE: He says that they used to be best friends and that she caught feelings for him. She even lied about being pregnant.
They use to live together and his family hates her. I just get this weird feeling that he’s not being totally honest. I know he was just helping her out but he had to be doing something for her to feel like they were in a real relationship.
I know you guys are saying he doesn’t owe her anything but why won’t he do it JUST SO SHE CAN LEAVE US ALONE , why drag it tf out ? I feel like he was a totally different person with her , like he was a bad person to her and he’s trying to keep it hidden.

I don’t understand the idea of getting closure from another person. That’s a personal responsibility and we aren’t owed anything from our exes. She’ll be just fine without getting whatever closure she’s seeking.

I feel like you should be more concerned with her. Like how is him moving on not enough closure for her to cut off communication. She’s keeping the door open and he’s not helping but I definitely think someone seeing someone else is “closure” enough.

Wait we dont know the whole situation...If all she wants is closure why cant he give her that much....I mean how long were they together? Do they have kids? Why did they break up? Did he just leave and not say shit to her basically? It could be anything obviously she cared and still does care and why cant he atleast give her that much maybe not in person but maybe text or call her and make her realize it's done and there is no going back I dont see harm in that

Hmm i know these other women are saying he doesn't owe her anything, i get that, but personally I was emotionally damaged for 5 years from someone because of not getting closure. Its helpful and healing for her even though he may not give a shit.
